The Nova Scotia Ramadan Qur’an Competition, organized by the Ummah Masjid & Community Center, is an annual competition aimed at encouraging and honoring the memorisation of the Qur’an. It takes place in the last blessed 10 days of Ramadan and is open to all participants aged 6+.
The Messenger of Allah (sws) said: “It will be said to the companion of the Qur’an: ‘Read, and ascend, and recite as you used to recite in the [previous] world, for your status will be according to the last verse that you recite.’”

- The Youth competition categories are open to all participants aged 6 to 16
- The Adult competition categories are open to all participants aged 17+

- Certificates awarded to all participants (top 3 winners eligible for prizes & gifts value up to $100+)!
- Participants from outside the Maritime are welcome (eligible for participation prizes only)
