Dear respected community members,

As Nova Scotia is preparing to reopen the province safely, the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Robert Strang, recently introduced changes in public health directives to help contain the spread of COVID-19. Under the new directive gatherings of more than 10 people (indoors or outdoors) are not permitted, unless an exemption identified in the Health Protection Act Order. In light of these recent changes, Ummah Masjid & Community Center (UMCC) is resuming daily and Jummah prayer services at the Masjid.

The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented and rapidly evolving situation. Therefore, UMCC will strictly observe all public health guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our congregants.

General guidelines:

 As per public health directive, only 10 individuals are allowed at any one time inside the Masjid.
 Masjid doors will be locked at all times except for the designated prayer times.
 Congregants will enter the Masjid through GATE A and will exit through GATE C without any exceptions.
 Elderly people with chronic diseases are requested to pray at home. Children under the age of 14 are not allowed at this time.
 Masjid washrooms are closed. Congregants will need to make wudu at home before coming to the Masjid.
 Congregants must bring their prayer mats. Wearing a mask is preferable.
 Congregants must not shake hands and hug each other. They are required to maintain social distancing at all time as per the public health directive.
 Once prayers are over congregants must leave the Masjid. Individual congregants will be able to be inside the Masjid for a maximum of 15 minutes. This includes the time of the prayers. Congregants are encouraged to complete most of their nawafel prayers at home.
 After the completion of the prayers, individual congregants should leave the Masjid premises and avoid any socialization in the premises in person.
 Congregants should wash their hands well or use sanitizers before and after visiting the Masjid.

For Daily prayers:

 For each daily prayer, UMCC will have two Jammah involving no more than 10 congregants in each Jammah..
 The first Jammah for each prayer shall be reserved for only those who make a commitment to perform daily prayers at the Masjid in the congregation. Interested community members are encouraged to reserve their spots through the form below.

 The second Jammah starts after 20 minutes of the first Jamaah. Second Jamaah will accommodate congregants on a first-come-first-serve basis. In all situations, no more than 10 congregants will be allowed to enter the Masjid.
 Prayer timing of Jamaah will be posted on the Masjid website.

Jummah Prayer:

 There will be 4 Jumma prayers performed at the Ummah Masjid. The starting time would be as follows 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 3:00 PM.
 In each Jammah 10 congregants will be allowed. In total for each Jummah, 40 congregants will be able to pray Jummah at the Masjid on Fridays.
 Community members interested to attend Jumaah prayer, they will have to register online through the form below. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate more than 40 to perform the Jumaa prayer.

 Given our constraints and to make the opportunity available to all Muslim families, we would encourage that from each family we have one member coming to the Jummah prayer. In addition, if a congregant attends one Jummah prayer, we would encourage him/her to skip the next Jummah at the Masjid to make room for others.

Please understand that it is logistically taxing on our staff to implement these protocols and your cooperation is highly appreciated; breaking these rules will not be appreciated nor allowed. Anyone not following these directives will be asked to leave for the safety of everyone. In closing, The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented and rapidly evolving situation and these directives may change as the situation evolves. May Allah (SWT) bless us all and relieve humanity from the calamity of this pandemic.

بينما تستعد نوفا سكوتيا لإعادة فتح المقاطعة بأمان ، أعلن الدكتور روبرت سترانغ ، تغييرات في توجيهات الصحة العامة للمساعدة في احتواء انتشار COVID-19. لا يسمح بتجمعات اكثر من ١٠ افراد تحت القوانين الجديدة لاحتواء هذا المرض ما عدا بعض الاستثناءات التي نص عليها الدكتور روبرت استرنج. في ضوء هذه التغييرات الأخيرة ، يستأنف مسجد الأمة ومركز المجتمع (UMCC) الصلوات الخميس وصلاة الجمعة في المسجد.

تعتبر جائحة COVID-19 حالة غير مسبوقة وتتطور بسرعة لذلك سيلتزم المسجد بجميع إرشادات الصحة العامة لضمان صحة وسلامة مجتمعنا.
إرشادات عامة:

1. وفقًا لتوجيهات الصحة العامة ، يُسمح فقط بـ ١٠ أفراد في أي وقت داخل المسجد.
2. سيتم إغلاق أبواب المسجد في جميع الأوقات باستثناء أوقات الصلاة المحددة.
3. دخول المسجد سيكون من بوابة A و الخروج من بوابة C.
4. يُطلب من المسنين المصابين بأمراض مزمنة الصلاة في المنزل ولا يسمح للأطفال تحت سن ١٤ سنة للصلاة في المسجد في هذا الوقت.
5. حمامات المسجد و اماكن الوضوء ستكون مغلقة و سيحتاج المصلين إلى الوضوء في المنزل قبل القدوم إلى المسجد.
6. يجب على المصلين إحضار سجادات الصلاة ومن الأفضل ارتداء قناع للحماية.
7. يجب ألا يتصافح المصلين ويحتضنون بعضهم البعض و مطلوب منهم الحفاظ على البعد الاجتماعي في جميع الأوقات وفقا لتوجيهات الصحة العامة.
8. بمجرد انتهاء الصلوات ، يجب ترك المسجد و سيتمكن المصلين من البقاء داخل المسجد لمدة أقصاها ١٥ دقيقة وهذا يشمل وقت الصلاة ويرجي إكمال النوافل في المنزل.
9. بعد الانتهاء من الصلوات ، يجب على المصلين ترك المساجد وتجنب الاختلاط بالآخرين.
10. يجب أن يغسل المصلين أيديهم جيداً أو يستخدموا المطهرات قبل وبعد زيارة المسجد.

للصلوات الخمس:

1. ستقام جماعتين لكل فرض من الفروض الخمس بعدد اقصي ١٠ افراد لكل جماعة.
2. الجماعة الأولي ستكون الأولوية لمن يستطيع الالتزام بحضور صلاة الجماعة بشكل منتظم أما الجماعة الثانية ستكون لأول عشر افراد جاؤوا للمسجد و لن يسمح بأكثر من عشرة افراد تحت اي ظرف. اذا كنت ترغب بالتسجيل لصلاة الجماعة يرجي ملأ هذا الاستبيان.

3. تبدأ الجماعة الثانية بعد ٢٠ دقيقة من الجماعة الأولي.
4. مواقيت الجماعة الاولي و الثانية تم نشرهم علي موقع المسجد.

صلاة جمعة:

1. ستقام صلاة جمعة ٤ مرات في مسجد الأمة. سيكون وقت البدء كما يلي ١:٣٠ ، ٢:٠٠ ، ٢:٣٠ ، ٣:٠٠.
2. ستسمح صلاة الجمعة لكل جماعة ١٠ افراد فقط وسيتمكن ٤٠ مصلي من صلاة الجمعة في المسجد كل الجمعة.
3. أفراد المجتمع المهتمين بحضور صلاة الجمعة ، عليهم التسجيل عبر الإنترنت من خلال النموذج أدناه. لن نتمكن من استيعاب أكثر من ٤٠ شخصًا لأداء صلاة الجمعة.

4. نظراً لقيودنا ولإتاحة الفرصة لجميع العائلات المسلمة للصلاة بالمسجد ، فإننا نشجع على أن يأتي من كل عائلة فرد واحد ليصلي صلاة الجمعة بالمسجد. بالإضافة إلى ذلك ، إذا حضر أحد المصلين صلاة جمعة ، فإننا نشجعهم على عدم حضور الجمعة التالية في المسجد لإفساح المجال للآخرين.
