One of the main pillars of Islam is giving out Zakat Al mal (Charity to purify your wealth). Here at Ummah Masjid we have worked very hard to ensure that all of the Zakat that’s collected from the community stays within the community to help out people in need from within the community. This has been the prophetic way and it’s a privilege to be able to follow in those footsteps. We have also developed some tools for the community to help them calculate their zakat and find out the current value of nisab.
